Bottega Veneta

The epitome of minimalist luxury and refined artistry, Bottega Veneta was founded by Italian duo Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro in 1966. As they began manufacturing leather products, it became apparent that standard sewing machines were incompatible with their materials and they would need an alternative method of construction. Forced to work with extremely fine leather in order to accommodate the fragile sewing needles, they formed a technique in which the leather would be meticulously woven in order to strengthen the material. This 'Intrecciato' weave became Bottega Veneta's signature design.
Keeping with tradition, the brand still produces timeless Intrecciato woven handbags and accessories, in addition to men's and women's ready-to-wear, jewelry, and home accessories.

Recently appointed creative director Daniel Lee has revived the long-established brand, introducing contemporary must-haves, like The Pouch and the BV Twist. In 2006, committed to preserving and teaching the plethora of skills and crafts necessary for producing such masterly leather goods, Bottega Veneta opened its own school, Scuola della Pelletteria, for future generations of leather artisans.
Dedicated to exceptional quality, skilled craftsmanship, and unassuming modesty, Bottega Veneta is a classic label with an ever-growing cult-following.
