'Tis definitely the season for giving and sharing and here at Love that Bag, we believe that every woman deserves a little something special over the holidays. Please consider donating handbags you no longer use to someone living in a women’s shelter. If you send them to us, or drop them off, we will fill them with little luxuries that every woman loves and make sure the handbag reaches a woman in need. 

We have been running our Handbag Project for the last two years.  We accept used bags in good condition that can’t really be resold (maybe the corners are a bit worn or the style is not current or there is just no market) or just any bag you wish to donate.

Any bag that you once loved can bring joy to someone new on its second life. When we get your donated bags we fill them with essentials that all women need – good soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, warm mittens and other personal care items and deliver them to women’s shelters in the Montreal area.

Though we are more than happy to facilitate this process, we’ve designed The Handbag Project to be accessible to women anywhere at any time. Simply pick up a few personal care goodies at your local pharmacy and prepare a bag or two on your own.  While preparing these bags can be done as a quick solo charitable act, this can also be done as an activity with a small group of women. Spend an afternoon chatting, packing and getting into the holiday spirit!
