Founded in 1925, Rome by Adele and Edoardo Fendi, the luxury label is rooted in the production of quality furs and leathers. The first shakeup came in 1946 when the next generation of five Fendi sisters brought fresh eyes to the collections. Fendi as we know it today truly came to be in 1965 when Karl Lagerfeld stepped in as creative director and developed the iconic logo featuring the letter 'F' twice over.

While under the present ownership of luxury giant LVMH, the brand still sits under the guidance of Silvia Fendi, the granddaughter of one of the original five sisters. Silvia brought Fendi into the next generation with the introduction of what's largely considered to be the very first 'it bag' in existence - the Fendi Baguette. Popularized in the late '90s and early 2000s by the television show Sex and the City, the bag is seeing a massive resurgence today, and has become a frequent flier in the resale market.

Prominently known for its dominating force in the handbag world, Fendi has made more than a few waves with its other leading ladies - the Fendi 2jours and the Fendi Peekaboo. Ready-to-wear hits from the brand are also common, including those items covered in their famous monogram print - the Fendi Zucca. Their Monster collection also garnered a fair bit of blogger attention as of late, with its bag accessories and quirky faced characters on classic bags.
